Press
This is one of those discs that show that Mozart’s music is increasingly well performed.
Scherzo
The harmony is faultless and the score seems to be rediscovered, so perfect is the balance between the soloists and the orchestra. Throughout, Lazarevitch is remarkable for his precision: not only does he sing with simplicity and ornament with refinement, but he also dances the final movements (rondeau and minuet) with the ease inherited from his experience of early and popular music.
DIAPASON
A beautiful opus, musically challenging but also sensitive and poetic.
